Die App ermöglicht es, Routen in und um den Nationalpark Hunsrück-Hochwald interaktiv mit dem E-Bike zu erleben.
Sie bietet Informationen zu der Wegbeschaffenheit, zu verschiedenen kulturellen Sehenswürdigkeiten, zur Natur und zu Rast- und Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten.
Die Routenführung erfolgt über das GPS-Signal.
Dabei kann die App unabhängig vom Internet offline betrieben werden.Die App ist als Schulprojekt im Rahmen eines Wettbewerbes realisiert worden.
Im November 2015 zeichnete die Dr.
Hans Riegel-Stiftung im MINT-EC-Wettbewerb „Schule schafft Zukunft“ die Projektidee „Mit Elektrofahrrädern den Nationalpark Hunsrück-Hochwald erkunden“ des Gymnasiums Birkenfeld als einen der drei besten aus.In Kooperation mit dem Nationalparkamt und der Firma AIONAV Systems AG entstand der elektronische Führer durch den Nationalpark, der zukünftig durch weitere Routen ergänzt werden soll.Streckenbeschreibung der ersten Route:Die Strecke beginnt am Planetenwanderweg an der Talsperre Nonnweiler.
Start ist das weithin sichtbare Sonnenmodell.
Auf dem Staudamm befinden sich bereits die ersten vier Planeten unseres Sonnensystems.
Es folgt ein kleiner Aufstieg zum kiesbedeckten Hauptweg des Planetenweges.
Hier kommt man an den weiteren Planetenstationen vorbei.
Während der Tour hat man immer wieder einen tollen Blick auf den See; mit viel Glück lassen sich auch Biber entdecken.
Nach der Überquerung einer kleinen Brücke gelangt man nach kurzer Fahrt zum „Züscher Hammer“ und nach Züsch selbst.
Eine Pause zur Besichtigung und Rast lohnt hier, bevor ein steilerer Abschnitt hinauf zum keltischen Ringwall von Otzenhausen beginnt.
Grober Schotter bedeckt auf diesem Abschnitt den Weg.
Einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Stausee und die umliegende Umgebung hat man vom Ringwall als höchsten Punkt der Tour.
Abwärts geht es nun an Skulpturen im keltischen Stil vorbei, hin zum rekonstruierten Keltendorf.
Das letzte Stück der Strecke führt wieder zum Stausee zurück.
